About Kyle Orla

Kyle Orla is a folk musician and educator from Duluth, Minnesota. An ever-student of early folk traditions, Kyle threads the needle between old melodies cloaked in relevant aesthetics. His guitar playing is adventurous, unburdened by convention, but deeply marked by the golden age of the 20's-30's repertoire.

Kyle is equally versed as a solo artist as he is as a collaborator. He has two releases under his name, and recorded fiddle and banjo for Charlie Parr's last Red House Records album, "I Ain't Dead Yet".

Kyle's YouTube channel is a dedicated resource to early folk guitar traditions, and currently sits at 20k subscribers. His Patreon page for folk guitar enthusiasts is one of the fastest growing archive of tablature and play-along videos of fingerstyle players.

Kyle's music is available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and BandCamp.
